Kar’s Nuts was founded in 1933, in a tiny kitchen in their home across the street from Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Here, Sue Kar roasted and sold peanuts to Tiger fans. The peanuts became so popular that a manufacturing plant was soon built to distribute peanuts to retailers throughout Metro Detroit. The company was sold to the Nicolay family in the 1960’s, and continues today as a family-run business.

I purchased these for retreat snacks and everyone loved them and the variety.Just the right portion for a quick grab snack. My only complaint is my son eats all the Sweet N Spicy, my wife eats all the Yogurt Apple, leaving me with the Mango pineapple. It's not a bad flavor but definitely not as good as the other two.I love the Karr's brand trail mixes! I bought this especially for the mango and spicy ones, but apple ended up being my favorite!! I bought a 72 pack of that one after this! haha. The mango has raisins so that was an utter fail - I didn't even try it. yuck! sad! the spicy one was great too, great variety in these mixes, so many different components - I don't even mind the plain peanuts and almonds in all of them because there is so much going on that I don't really notice them! by far the best trail mixes we've ever bought. The peanut butter dark chocolate is another fav, we've been buying that one exclusively for months now, but decided to branch out!Easy snack to keep on hand, for gatherings, parties, every day pantry snacks.Good snackGreat trail snack.
