These came yesterday and I unpacked them today. I love these plates — they will mix with my other blue and white dishes I’ve collected over the years — but am disappointed that on one plate, a small piece of something rough (perhaps a fragment of unglazed ceramic?) settled on the surface of blue glaze prior to firing. You can see how it sticks up and where the melted glaze pooled around the base of the fragment. Additionally, there is a deep scratch, through the glaze on the edge of this same plate and another deep “U”-shaped scratch on the back side of the plate, on the reverse of where the gouge on the edge is. I’d return the whole set but am concerned of getting another (or worse, more) plates like this. The rest of the set is fine. Is it possible to exchange this one plate?These plates are beautifully painted and have the feeling of high quality and durability. Highly recommendLove the color and the size of plate. Great for those smaller itemsI am really surprised at the quality of these little plates! I had a few friends over for a girl’s gathering and served appetizers on these. They were lovely. Second, I have washed them now many times in the dishwasher and they have held up; no pattern wash-away. Third, I have banged these several times on the lip of my cabinet. These dishes are sturdy! Great price…great dishes. Note: I have not tried them in the microwave. I am more than pleased and would consider buying another set!I wanted blue and white appetizer dishes with a pattern. If I could change one thing it would be that they were a brighter white. Instead they are cream and blue. They have a good feel, and I believe they will hold up nicely in dishwasher and regular use.Very nice addition to a dish set that did not come with this size plate.My husband and I enjoy entertaining. We purchased these plates for a recent dinner party we hosted. I was very pleased with them. They are 6" in size which is a little small for the Caprese Salad we served, but worked well overall with the meal. The design is very pretty, the red color is vivid without overpowering. Very pleased, would highly recommend.Beautiful, versatile pieces … when an 8-inch cake plate is too large and a tapas-size dish is too small … these are ideal.
